Getting Started
Set up your sourcing agency in five steps: your profile, how you earn, your factories, your clients and your first request.
Sourcing Management runs a sourcing agency: the requests your clients send, the factories you buy from, the margin you earn and a portal where your clients follow their orders. PHNX builds and runs it for you, so there is nothing to install.
Try it first. Start Demo on the Sourcing page gives you Lantau Trading Co, a demo agency with clients, factories and requests already in it, for 24 hours. Everything below works there.
1. Your agency profile
Your site arrives ready: your company is set up with US dollars, a standard chart of accounts and your website filled in from the details you gave us, so there is no setup wizard. Check your company details under Company and change anything you like.
Then open White Label Settings and add your brand name, logo and colours. Your clients see your logo on the login page and your colours on the portal. See White-Label.
2. How you earn
Open Sourcing Settings and turn on the business models you use: commission (a service fee), trading (a markup on the factory price) or factory rebates. Choose the default and its rate. See Business Models.
3. Your factories
Add your factories under Factories, one by one or all at once from a spreadsheet. Each factory has a Factory Profile: what kind of supplier it is, its province and city, its main categories, MOQ, lead time, export licence, WeChat ID, its 1688 or Alibaba page and your rating. See Import Data.
4. Your clients and their buyers
Add each client company under Clients, with its destination country and port and its importer registration. Then add the people who buy for that client as its portal users: they get an email to choose a password and sign in to the portal. See Client Portal Guide.
5. Your first request
A request is a product a client wants you to find. Create one under Sourcing Requests, or let the client send it from the portal with a photo. Each request has the product, quantity, destination, Incoterm, target date and an internal target price that the client never sees. See Sourcing Workflow.
